Our coaches are highly skilled and bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the court, making them the top choice for athletes looking to elevate their game. With years of experience both playing and coaching at competitive levels, our staff is committed to fostering the growth and development of each player, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Our coaches emphasize teaching volleyball fundamentals at the highest level, while also focusing on advanced techniques, strategy, and the mental aspects of the game. They are passionate about helping athletes succeed, whether they are preparing for their next high school season, seeking collegiate opportunities, or simply aiming to become the best players they can be.
Coach Brian graduated from Mississippi State University in 1999, where he was the starting placekicker for the Mississippi State Bulldog Football Team for four years. During his time there, he earned All-SEC honors for two seasons and held the title of leading scorer in Mississippi State history for 15 years.
Coach Walker earned a Bachelor's Degree from Delta State University and a Master's Degree from Mississippi Valley State University. She began her coaching career at Brandon High School, where she has excelled as both the Head Volleyball Coach and a dedicated teacher. Over the years, she has accumulated an outstanding record of 321-77 as the Brandon High School Volleyball Head Coach. Under her guidance, Brandon High School has secured four 6A State Championships, with back-to-back victories in 2017, 2018, 2021, and 2022. The Lady Bulldogs have also claimed the South State Championship in 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, along with eight consecutive Region Championships.
Coach Krishna is thrilled to start his fifth year coaching at IVBA. He holds a master's in computer science from the University of South Alabama, where he also played in recreational leagues. He serves as Head Coach for the JV team at Jackson Academy, where he led the team to a 27-2 record and the 2025 MAIS JV State Championship. Previously, he was Head Coach for the JA Middle School team, compiling a 28-4 record in 2023 and guiding the team to the 2024 MAIS Middle School State Championship with a 26-5 record. As part of the Jackson Academy coaching staff, he is an assistant coach to JV and Varsity, contributing to the 2025 MAIS MS State Championship, 2024 MAIS JV State Championship and 2023 Varsity MAIS State Championship.
Coach Denson is in her 9th year at Jackson Academy and her 10th year with Infinity Volleyball Academy, bringing a total of 16 years of coaching experience. A Clinton, Mississippi native, she graduated from Clinton High School in 2007 and continued her education at Mississippi College, where she played for the Lady Choctaw Volleyball Team and earned her degree in 2012. Melissa furthered her education with a master's degree in Secondary Education.
Head Coach, Jackson State University / IVBA Head Coach
Coach Marcus Hereford was promoted to head coach of the Jackson State volleyball team in the spring of 2024 after serving as the assistant coach for six years. During his time as an assistant, he contributed to the team's championship successes in Spring 2021, Fall 2021, and 2023.
Every team has a head coach and, for most, an assistant. Coaches communicate with families through the team GroupMe.
